um yea big time noob Y_Y ive been trying to put up devhook .50 on my 2.82 psp w/out realizing wut in world is it? i was assuming it was for homebrew n such but idk?........if anyone can plz help me out w/ this i would apperciate it ..........and if it is for home brew can someone plz give me links to get w/e i need to install devhook or should i just wait for a downgrade for 2.82 FW thanx

sorry bro, your not gonna be able to make that, or any other homebrew work on anything 2.8 and higher.

devhook is a program that emulates higher firmware on lower psps with out upgrading, and loosing use of homebrew.

I'd suggest waiting for something to come out ( may be a while) or try to get a psp with lower firmware

As they said your pretty screwed with 2.8 right now. Hang tight im sure they will find a way to crack it also.

Dev hook (more specificaly) is a program designed to allow people like me with 1.5 to use a web browser and things of that nature that didnt come with the lower firmware.
Devhook makes the PSP think its got a higher firmware than it does which allows you to play newer UMD games, browse the internet, and im sure a slew of other things.

So for the time being just sit tight, buy some good umd games to tide you over. Wait for a crack, and have some fun with your psp....that or get a mod chip installed. ^_^
