how do i get a sub woofer on the back of my psp

there is a psp with a sub woofer in it and i want to know how to do that it is on the back in front of thge umd on the umd door they cut the circle out but it looks like crap, i wanna know how to wire it and make it look good.

Oh, and I've never even heard of a subwoofer on the back of a PSP. You would need a very small one, no shit, and possibly an external power source. I wouldn't even care for a mod like this. If someone modded their PSP for a sub, my reaction would literally be, "Wow. I don't care. Just like I typed in that one thread."

Anyway, there isn't any, and I wouldn't bother trying. That 3.5mm jack is there for a reason.

Ok...so noone here is actualy trying to answer this guys question.

Before i do id like to point out that a "subwoofer" on the back of a psp is not practical, usefull, or even smart. BUT it can be done with some knowhow and creativity

You can try to find a 3 inch speaker the size of the silver circle on the back of your UMD door to act as a subwoofer. It would produce much different sound than the mini speakers in the PsP.

Secondly you could wire the "subwoofer" directly into the current speaker system. Just connect the speaker wires to the current speaker system already in the psp

Thirdly, you would have to make some sort of enclosed case attached do the UMD door. Not an easy task but doable. If your familiar with working in plastics you could make a sealed box maybe an inch thick to hold the speaker. It would not fit right into the psp.

Technicaly you could run a free air speaker but then it would fail to be any sort of a subwoofer and would mostely just be there for cosmetic purposes.

Last but not least, im not sure the implications to having a speaker magnet that close to the psp for any length of time. I dont know how harmfull it could be to make such a mod with a magnetic speaker.

BUT it can be done, i just wouldnt suggest it.

isnt their a magnet on the back of the speaker?
right next to the door which holds the umd disk?
wouldent that be like asking to mess up your umds?
im probly wrong but it sounds like psp suicide...

Im not sure what type of media UMD disks use, you can hold a magnet to a dvd or a CD and im pretty sure they arent messed up...Magnatism with disks is an oldschool thing...back when they used iron as the media for floppies...i just dont know enough about electro-magnetic fields and how they would affect the operation of small electionics...i know speakers dont produce much...and since the screen is LCD it wouldnt affect the screen, i just dont know
