Post gpSP

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Homebrew Title - gpSP 0.9

Category - Emulators

Required Firmware
- 1.50 or any SE/OE/M33 custom firmwares

Players: 1

Description - GamePlaySP (in short gpSP) is a GameBoy Advance Emulator for the PSP.

Download
:
gpSP 0.9 1.00 Eboot: gpSP 0.9 1.00 Eboot
gpSp 0.9 1.50 Eboot: gpSp 0.9 1.50 Eboot
gpSP 0.9 for TA-082 and HEND users: gpSP 0.9 for TA-082 and HEND users
GBA Bios:GBA BIOS
*Anything wrong with the download PM me. I'll fix it as soon an possible.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Installation:
1. Download the archive that you think is best for your firmware.
2. Connect the PSP to your computer and copy the the files you extracted to
For 1.50- ms0:/PSP/GAME
For OE/M33- ms0:/PSP/GAME340 (if you downloaded the 1.00 eboot)

3. Put the bios in the folder gpsp (the folder has no % in it)
4. Get as many gba rom files and put them in the same folder. The extension has to be .gba
5.Check that you have all the files

It must look like this

*For 1.50 users only GAME340 folder will GAME everything else stays the same
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Usage:
When you start the app you'll see a list of all your gba roms. Press circle to start a rom you want and it'll start. Pressing triangle will bring up the configuration menu. Here you can SAVE/LOAD state and configure the gamepad input. Some games will not work with good speed so you can change the frameskip value to higher values until you get the needed speed. If that doesnt work change your cpu speed to 333MHz.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheats:
1. Open up a text document in Notepad
2.Type 'PAR_' for Pro Action Replay & 'gameshark_' for GameShark. (without quotes)
3. Type the version number v1, v2, v3 etc. after that. On the next line add the code AAAAAAAA BBBBBBBB.
4. If there are more than one code for one cheat type each code in a different line but don't write the version number and such things again. Do not type more than 10 cheats for one game.
5. It should look something like this
Quote:
gameshark_v3 MarioInfHP
995fa0d9 0c6720d2

gameshark_v3 MarioMaxHP
21d58888 c5d0e432

dbbd5995 44b801c9
65f8924d 2fbcd3c4

PAR_v3 StopTimer
2b399ca4 ec81f071
6. Save the file with a .cht extension. It should be (Exact your rom name).cht For example if the rom file is "ABC.GBA" make the cheat file in the name of ABC.cht"
7. Put it in the same folder where your roms are and activate them through Cheats and Miscellaneous Options while your playing the game.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Final Words: By far this is the best gameboy advance emulator for the psp. I dont think nothing else comes close to this. It has a huge compa
Graphics: 9.8/10

Very nice review O_o. I think I'll include installation and support info in my future reviews too, after seeing this.

It is probably the best GBA emu for PSP, but you should remember there are still plenty of games that don't run properly, or crash during gameplay. Overall, I think you rate it a bit too highly.

The overwhelming majority run just fine, but a few are a bit strange. Golden Sun and Fire Emblem franchises crashed for me at different points in the game, and it's been reported that some Pokémon games will crash when certain attacks are used, or certain plot events happen.

Still, top-notch review! I say it deserves 20 pts.
