Well, this is one very well-made app. My first thought after the first launch was "Woah, nice interface". It's very clean and easy to understand - navigating within the program is a snap.

Setting up an account was simple enough. I had it checking my mail after about 5 minutes or so. The next thing that struck me was the input system. Rather than the cell-phone keypad lookalike you're used to with your psp, it had a strange, almost alien-looking box with numbers and letters in it. With a little exploring, I learned that you use the analog stick to select a box with 4 letters, then press the control button (Circle, etc...) corresponding to the desired letter. "R" is Shift, "L" switches between numbers and letters. After a little getting used to it, I discovered this is much faster than the standard input system the PSP uses - and much cooler.

Of course, if you decide you don't like it, there are several other options for input available

The app itself is zippy-quick, and the downlaod speeds are what you'd expect - enough to check your email. Basically, when it boils down to it and you ask that question "Do I really need it?", then just ask yourself this: "Do I check my email on my PSP, or do I want to?"

If the answer to either of these is yes, then the small file (about 4 megs) and great usability of this app make it worth the download. I don't use it alot, but I keep it on my memory stick for its sheer convenience.
