ThemeSwapper v0.3 For PSP - 5988 KB
- RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

A PSP theme manager... i think is written in LUA but im unsure as i havent used this yet, ive only tested to see if it runs. There are LUA files in the programs main directory, so this is why im assuming its written in the LUA format/language. Obviously be careful using this as it is a theme manager, and so i assume it writes to the PSPs flash.

This is a tool to extract/unzip WinRAR and WinZIP files directly onto the memory stick. you can choose the source location and file and also the destination folder to have the files/folders written to. (much needed for true "non-PC" operation) example: download a RAR'ed ISO or CSO directly from PSPiso onto your PSP through PSP browser into the "COMMON" folder, and then extract it from the COMMON folder straight to the "ISO" folder for immediate play, without needing the PC to extract the file and place it somewhere... HAPPY HAPPY

PSP Sony Remote
RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

This is for the PSP and will allow wireless control of the PS2 (PSP used as a wireless PS2 Controller) so you can use it as a cordless "non-dualshock" controller for PS2 gaming **note lack of PSP buttons** and it therefore also controls the PS2 DVD Player as a replacement for the PS2 Remote. the only downside is that it mus be used with the PS2 that has an "in-built" IR receiver and not the "memory card slot module" that was used with the first PS2 DVD Remote versions. then again i dont have one of these "modules" so it could work with one if your PS2 remote is dead.

the way you can tell if your PS2 has in-built IR, is by looking at the space directly underneath the "SONY" logo inbetween the "power" and the "eject" buttons, and there should be a separate piece of plastic that is similar in colour to the IR window on the top edge of the PSP. if your PS2 doesnt have the in-built IR reciever it will be one-piece and not look any different to the rest of the PS2s outer case.

i had some wicked fun with this app for some fun go into a SONY shop and start messing with the TVs volume and channels etc.... the SonyRemote Program works from pretty far away so you could probably be in another department and still do this. just watch the faces of the SONY salespeople as their department starts shaking as all of their telly's start going nutz.... i nearly got caught because i was laughing so hard.

you can also mess with your mates Sony TVs and they wont suspect you cos you just look like you are playing a game.... ohhh the hilarity..

anyway its one of those apps that i have on all my memory sticks and im always using it everyday...

This is a universal remote control for PSP. used with the remote codes above (and whatever other ones you can find) you can controll thousands of different devices. the only thing is there must be at least one remote code in the "remotes" folder for the program to start. if there is no remotes it will simply start and then give a "goodbye" text and exit to the XMB.

WiFiController v0.4.2
RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

This is a tool that lets you use the PSP as a PC controll pad, wirelessly. play your games on your PC with no cables to limit movement. but it must be used with a wireless access point as it uses the PSPs wifi connection. i use this with a $30 USB wifi adapter that i got off eBay and it works perfectly. i also use that adapter with my PSP internet surfing and X-Link Kai (in my list below) to play my "Ad-Hoc" games in "Infrastructure" mode.

Use it with PPJoy for the PC (scroll up in this list for PPJoy)

Great program

This is a cool little alarm clock app that allows the PSP to be off or in "sleep-mode" before switching itself on at a preset time (hence the alarm-clock) you can also set it to power on and into the preset eBoot that you chose in the OE Recovery menu, so instead of using the programs standard alarm function, you could boot into a homebrew MP3 player or something like that.

i use it and i like it. i also have the updated version which has some cool new features.

RemoteJoy USB-TO-PC Kit - 1663 KB
RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

This set of tools is the latest "amusement" item ive been using. If you havent heard about this application, then you are missing out.
Basically ive been playing my UMD and ISO games on my PSP while VIEWING the game that im playing ON MY PC SCREEN!
This is done with a combination of different files on both the PSP and the PC. Usin the USB cable, and running the included "PSPLink" application, together with a series of steps on the PC, and you will have "acceptably clear" fullscreen gameplay on any PC monitor (or TV if using a MediaCenter PC) with just a slight hint of framedrop.... very slight.
The image reproduced on the PC is exactly the same size of the PSPs LCD (480x272WxH) regardless of the PCs screen resolution (if choosing the fullscreen option... big pixels) so there isnt any "image enhancing" done or anything. but the fact that i can ACTUALLY play them on a big screen is all i needed to have me hooked on this.

The setup instructions are included.... although a little tedious to get going its worth it once you do.
Also once you DO have it ready to run, there are two configurations to choose... and both are different setups....
One is for playing games from ISO/CSO or from UMD.. and the other is for viewing the rest of the PSPs functions EXCEPT the Video menu on the PSP.
Entering the Video menu (pressing X on "Video" on the PSPs main menu or "XMB") will cause the program to crash apparently, according to the readme file.. i havent tried this so i dont know if it will crash but i havent been curious enough to do it....

Only 2 bugs/glitches ive come across in my hours of use:

1 - program froze several times when waiting for some games to load the actual level, whereas the game menus etc were fine. The first freeze was unexpected, the next couple were triggered by me repeating what i did to see if it was a bug and not something that i did wrong... i guess some games are just not compatible or something... most of mine work though.

2 - when exiting AFTER the freeze, the chosen wallpaper i had on my PSP was warped.. for example the screen went from l____l to /____/ so it was sorta stretched at opposite corners... i also found that the wallpaper stayed like that up UNTIL you re-start the PSP, whereas it stayed warped if you put the PSP in "Sleep" mode..... this was ONLY the wallpaper. the icons and the "Use No Wallpaper" option was normal...

Anyway try it and see. after the head-boggling-to-some install instructions its a couple of clicks and ur going.... i suppose im lucky in that i sorta already know where these types of things go, i just hope you find it as easy as i did. all i can say is FOLLOW THE README.... take it in sentence by sentence if you must.... what am i saying.. YES YOU MUST try this out....

Quite handy when you need to have things hidden from young eyes, or to "safeguard" the folder/file
from being deleted or edited/corrupted. A handy program for all those important PSP files we have.

DJSP v1.4a - 865 KB
RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

DJSP
This is DEFINATELY one of my favourite PSP apps. In fact i dont even use the standard PSP music player
anymore because i use this program instead. It definately kicks in comparison.

Here are some of DJSPs features:
- 10 Visualizations that are volume and sound responsive. Like the standard PSP AVS but better
- Three screen modes - VISUALS with Menu/VISUALS off or Power Save/VISUALS only (my favourite)
- A WORKING GRAPHIC EQUALIZER!!! Sweet now the PSP can sound alot better than "standard"
- A volume "pre-amplifier", meaning boost the volume higher than "standard" PSP volume levels
- It has LUA Script capabilities for making your own visualizations etc (i havent tried this yet)
- You can customize the programs font to any one of thousands of fonts out there (almost)
- Its compatible to be used with the PSPs Official headphone remote control
***AND ABSOLUTELY MY FAVOURITE FEATURE OF DJSP***
- Use the PSP Analog Stick to adjust the playback speed! Yes, thats making it speed up or slow down.

FLOGGEN AWESOME!!! Now i can make that 50Cent sound like the "Steroid-Using Chipmunk" that he is....
or perhaps just have DJ sessions with friends and their PSPs... its pretty hilarious if you get some
different music tastes in the one group... SIDE-SPLITTING at times you should try it

Now on to the description....
This is an AV or Audio Visual Mp3 player for use on the PSP. The ReadMe file supplied with the program
will give you all the installation info you need to get it going. The only problem is that i think it
was designed to run on firmwares older than 3.0X OE. The reason for this is that the mp3 files on the
memory stick are in the MUSIC folder of "new" file-structure, but the DJSP program must read the files
from the "old" MUSIC folder that was in the PSP folder. Remember when the 3.0 firmware came out you had
to either format your memory sticks to create the new IMAGE, VIDEO and MUSIC folders alongside PSP and
ISO etc... or create the new folders in the memory stick "root directory" or "top level". If the mp3
files are in the new MUSIC folder (if you formatted the memory stick in 3.0+ then they are in the new
folder) then the DJSP program will just freeze as it starts up. This is because it needs at least one
mp3 to show in order to start the DJSP program, and if the mp3s are in the new MUSIC folder then DJSP
cant detect them and so it hangs. To fix this just make a new folder inside the PSP folder called
"MUSIC" and then move your mp3 files or folders to that folder ( so thats ms:/PSP/MUSIC/blahblah.mp3 )
This should get the files to show up in DJSPs mp3 window. This happens immediately after the point that
it froze beforehand because the reason it DID freeze was because an mp3 list couldnt be created in that
window. Now with the created folder it can find the files and start as normal without hanging. Use DJSP
with the "hide corrupt icons" setting enabled in the OE Recovery Menu to tidy up the GAME menu.

Hope this gets thing going for you, because i was stuck until i tried it on an old memory stick
(non-3.0-formatted) by mistake..... think of my confusion when i was trying to work out why it would
work on one memory stick and not the other.. i found myself looking up official memory stick specs
thinking it was a high-speed/standard-speed issue or perhaps a phony memory stick etc... plus all the
other crap that i went through before i figured out what id actually done (or NOT done) talk about
wanting a major forehead-slap.

PSPRhythm v5 - 5394 KB
RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

PSPRhythm
This is a cool program that i havent really figured out yet. as far as i can tell from my limited
successful use is that "its a music creation and sequencing and mixing program" or something.. its kinda
confusing to use and ive been frustrated with it a lot of times. That being said, my friend (the one
with the "weekdays" PSP) gets on it for around 4 or 5 minutes and WOW the things it can do to sounds...
It has a lot of samples or whatever you call them so its ready to go if you know what you are doing.
Good luck. Its only on here cos i know it can do some sweet stuff (in the hands of my buddy that is)
There is a full readme file included in PDF format so maybe you should check that thoroughly before
making wierd noises sound even more strange...

Well i had a bit of time on my hands a while back so i decided to take the whole 250 games and save them
to my PSP to see how much space it would take. surprisingly it uses about 55MB on the memory stick with
the whole lot included. so i uploaded the online "launcher" and 250 SWF game files in one pack and here
it is for all to go crazy over....

Bear in mind that a lot of these are crappy little "nothing-worth-mentioning"s but theres quite a few
good ones.... and the simple fact of saying "yeah ive got 250 games on my 64MB memory stick" or
something like that is sure to get a "what-the" from some people
For the record i dont have a 64MB memory stick.... waste of plastic

PSP-IrDA v0.0.2 - 908 KB
RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

PSP-IrDA
This is a program that lets you do file transfers via the PSPs InfraRed port. It is quite limited but
kinda handy and il explain why... with testing, on my PSP with this app installed, i sent a 10KB image
file, then a 25KB image file, then a 50KB image file and then a 100KB image file to another PSP, with
this program installed and running, to test the transfer speed and times etc. I also did the same test
sending and recieving the files to and from my Nokia 6288, my Nokia 6255, my girls Nokia 7650, my HP
Compaq laptop, an InfraRed USB adapter module with my PC, and another laptop (my mates one, i think it
was an ACER) so i think its safe to say that its compatible with a few different devices that have
InfraRed.

The program takes around 5 or so seconds to load after the gameboot (PSP logo and "Da-Ding" etc) then
once id selected "send" and chose the file, i timed the transfer with each file from the start of the
transfer (the 0/100 counter is the time-out, i think, not the percentage of the transfer) up until the
file was finished sending and the program had gone back to the "send/receive" menu.
this is what i got:

10KB: 17 seconds 25KB: 32 seconds 50KB: 56 seconds 100KB: 1 minute 48 seconds

As you can see it is quite slow... in fact VERY slow... but in any case it does work and is handy with
non-PSP file transfers. The other devices i used with it were all timed at relatively the same speeds.
Other than that i couldnt figure out how to send files FROM the PC (or laptops) to my PSPs. Its probably
something simple, as it usually is, but i just havent found a good enough reason to search on how to do
it, seeing as i use other programs to do the same thing (see my list )

Also be prepared for files to be sent to the wrong folders the first few times using this. I know this
first-hand (maybe im just dumb) and i was sending pics to my PSP folder etc..... This is caused by the
slightly confusing menu with the directory's "to/from" navigation, but with a bit of trial and error you
will figure it out and all will be good. I found that this program was useful mainly in transferring
files to and from devices OTHER THAN the PSP, whilst using less power than the PSPs WiFi (i think) and
without needing cables, and without removing the memory stick (to insert into a card reader for example)
It also works with the "hide corrupt icons" setting enabled in the OE Recovery Menu, so it wont mess
your game list up with any of those ugly corrupted data icons.
Hope you find it useful

WifiSniffer v0.2 - 242 KB
RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

Run this application whenever you are out and about to instantly see any WiFi connections that the PSP senses. Then use SELECT to take a screenshot and textfile containing details of the shown connections....

NOTE - this does NOT show WEP/WPA keys etc. It just gives the standard details similar to when you use a "non-secure" connection on the PSP (no WEP key etc)
So it is NOT a "Key Sniffer" or whatever you theives (the WEP key stealers) call it...

PSP WiFile Transfer v1.0a - 530 KB
RapidShare: 1-Click Webhosting

This version is for FW 3.10 OE or higher firmwares. something to do with using "Static ELF files" is in the readme. the version for 3.03 OE or lower is below (version 0.02)
It also has a new graphic interface for a bit more of an "eye-pleasing" look than a black screen with text, as in the previous versions.

This is an application use to send files from your PSP to PC or another PSP via the WiFi connection... i havent had any luck actually sending a file to another PSP or PC as im unsure on how to get the PSP to come up as a client on this programs interface.... sorry if that sounds stupid. but i havent been successful YET.

PSP WiFile Transfer v0.02 - 36 KB

As above, but with text interface and not for use on 3.10 OE or higher firmwares.

ok, enough arguing. if you dont see the usefulness of this thread, then your blind. he posted info on nearly every piece of homebrew avalible, and its gonna help somebody. if youre just posting reviews and shit for the sake of winning a piece of plastic, then your just selfish and arnt interested in helping the community... only yourself
