eyy i need help to download hombrew for 4.01 and play GBA And N64 Games on my PSP Slim so yea plz help!

you need a pandora battery and a Magic Memory stick to put Custom Firmware (CFW) on your PSP.
A Pandora battery is a modded psp battery that (in short terms) communicates with the Magic Memory Stick (MMS) and puts the CFW on your psp.
The MMS is a specially formated Memory Stick with files on it that communicate with the Pandora Battery to put CFW on your PSP.

EDIT: hahaha i forget, lemme quickly explain the CFW... CFW is the firmware that will allow you to play Homebrew and Emulators. Original Firmware (OFW) is firmware that is released by Sony, which limits you to the basics of the PSP. Since you have OFW 4.01 you have stuff like Skype, Internet Radio etc. With CFW you get all that plus you are able to to play homebrew and and emulators.

you just buy a normal psp battery and open it up. but if you want to buy a Pandora Battery (already modded psp batter) then yeah you will need to it online

Thank 4 making understand OFW..but my pSp 3.40 I have seen a few videos and thers psp say ( 4 exp) 3.7 mm3..that means its cfw right? If hoe do I get mines 2 B like that I did the battery I have some filles but think I've seen 2 many difrent version and im very confused plz help me !!! (malcompito@yahoo.com)

the m33 only shows that you have a firmware which was hacked by dark-alex. All you need to have is a mgic stick and a pandora battery.

There are lots of guides out there which are useless (even I had the same problem, as you). There is a program called U.P.M.S. installer. Try using it for making the magic stick - it should work.

I was wondering wat M33 is cuz i jest bought a new PSP slim and my firmware is 3.90
