Default Help with some homebrew apps (Universal remote et.c)

Ok I recently download:
Universal Remote + "remotes" folder
WiFiSniffer
PSPSony Remote
And then.... (I run firmware version 3.90 M33-3)
1. as a fail safe mechanism I put the folders in "GAME" "GAME150" and "GAME380"
2. I boot the psp up in recovery mode and set the kernel to 1.50
3. I select any one of the homebrew apps and it gets pass the Sony logo but after that it pops be back out to the XMB saying "The game could not be started. (80020148)"

Any ideas?

EDIT: Wait I solved it, found out I didn't have 1.50 kernel installed which I was pretty sure I had ..really sorry now everyones gonna flame me for being a noob and this is only my second post

...on a side is there a place for me to find more "remotes" or a way for me to add one and find its frequency?

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it...I only found out a week ago that my PSP was in semi-brick and not full brick so I'm still new to the modding scene
