Hi I am new to the forums and I am a complete noob at this modding stuff, however I am a quick learner. Also I didn't know where to post to get help in starting to mod my psp so I just posted here if someone can redirect me to the site I need to go to that would be a big help. First of all I bought the pandora battery from the store and the mms. But I tried to mod my psp slim 2000 and I reformatted my mms trying to mod it. That failed so I don't know if I have to remake my mms or just leave it as it is. I fixed my psp fat 1000 so I wanted to mod it but I don't know where to start. I got the 5.50 latest update for the psp. All I really want to do is get emulators and play games for free. Could you help me please much appreciated..



Edit: I followed the http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-sof...-firmware.html (How To Install PSP Custom Firmware) guide on how to make a mms but it doesn't work like the video on the bottom of the post shows. I don't know what to do.. I put in the pandora battery the green light comes on the screen is blank. I insert the mms and nothing happens.

the screen is sometimes off on this, when its on hit X and if the ms and wifi lights blink like crazy then you good, if not then go here

Okay. I think I got ripped off by the psp store... They said it shouldn't be a fake but when I look at info by going through video it says magicgate unknown. I don't know if it is because I formatted it or it is a fake and if it is I got ripped off.... By the way I am doing this a few months after I bought the battery and the memory stick I think I still have the receipt in my e-mail. It is either that or I am doing something wrong. I am using vista so I used the rain mms maker but it doesn't work like it said it should. It won't inject the tm ipl. This is driving me nuts.

non-magicgate sticks wont work, go to the nearest electronic stor and get a memoery stick, you know those will be magicgate stick

But you see it says magicgate on the stick. So it can't be that I have a fake one. After all I did get one that says it can be used to change into a mms. it is a scandisk 4gb. Fuck it I will just try again sem other time.
