hi guys im ben im 15 yrs old i live in small part of england called devon. i got my psp for xmas and i thought i was cleva and dowloaded the 3.03 update and then i went online and found out about homebrew and i was gutted

. hopefully soon i will be able to sawp my psp with my mate coz he has a much much lower fireware and he also dosent use it anyways thats me

i did upgrade before i did know anything about homebrew im just not sure about swapping with my mate because he has had a psp sice they came out in england and it mite be damade and mine is brand new so what do you think i should do?

I had a similar mistake, the old got excited about playing MGS Portable OPS, (the inital reason I got a PSP; but now I havent touched the old XBOX or PS2 in over a month) and clicked away and it updated to 3.03. However I swapped with someone with an older one and I am much happier. If it operates and reads MS and UMD then you can always swap the face plate to get rid of those screen scratches. You will be much more happier with a modded psp I assure you. All together now "fuck official firmware updates!"

I really wouldn't change your PSP with yoru friends that is beat up from years ago... I would keep it man.. Running homebrew is great but having a USED PSP that was released in 2005 is not fun..

If I was you I would just keep my PSP and play my games andd wait until a downgrader is available . They'll come... They'll just need time to do so.

Dont exchange it with your friends.. DOn't give him a BRAND NEW PSP.. just to have Homebrew. Keep yours.

If you have the receipt and it was purchased recently exchange it at your store.. Try looking at the box

to see if the firmware is downgradable

by looking at the retail box. IF I was you try to find one box that says the "K". thats a 2.71 ... It was easy for me to downgrade it ..

i just rang him and i found out his dad updated his lol so wont be having that and do you have any idea when there will be one out

If you are at 3.03 it probably will take a while, as in months. If you are at 2.81 ohpe is probably right around the corner. But no one besides ALEX knows 100%,and I would imagnie he might be taking a break after all the bad ass work he put in last month.

parents upgrading our psps eh? that would be so owned. last thing id expect is my dad upgrading my psp, the irony.
