Hi I'm new wanna help me?

So I'm new to this site. I've had my psp for a little over a year i think and have been thinking of moding it for a while. realized that upgrading through sony was bad but I was kinda late so my psp is at 2.81 I've tried looking around for what to do and all but if you want to help that would be appreciated.
heres what I think I've figured out:
It says IC1003 in the disk tray so I think that means I have a 82
I think the goal is to get to 1.5 and to do that I'm supposed to have a certain version of grand theft auto and then I upgrade to 3.03 and then I can downgrade it to something and I'm not exactly sure where to go from there or how to go about doing that stuff. It looks like there is a program or a modded firmware that I can upgrade too?
Any help and or links to help would be awesome! Theres so much to take in all at once that after reading so many posts and faqs that after a few hours I'm still confused.

Oh and once I know what to do and how to do it I' probably going to buy mem stick and that gta game so I can do it. is there anything else i should get and what size stick is needed to do the mod?

you have a "Ta-802" motherboard, for the 3.03 downgrader, it doesen't really matter...

It's preferred that the bigger the card, the better off you'll be, if you downgrade, then you want to be able to play games and emulators, so i'd recommend larger stick...

Ok so I now have a psp running 3.03 oe-c and I have a 4 gig memory card... now it's time to put it to use! So First off I would like to play my psp games off my memory stick and have been searching for hours and can't find a guide that is helping me out or working. It's hard to find something when you don't know what it is your looking for. Do I need umddaxdumper? do I need fastloader? I'm mainly concerned with ripping/dumping it to my card and not to my hard drive...I figure I can do that later if my card gets full. SO any help would be awesome...

you may have to rip to your HD at first, but then just drag into your memory stick... then again they might have an option of where to save, as long as your psp is always connected, im sure you can save it in your memory card
