Hi all,
After about two days of reading this and other PSP modding sites, I finally decided that it was time to get in on this myself. I did the research and found a 2.71 (SE? It's not labeled and I'm not sure how to tell which version of 2.71 I have) PSP. After some more research I found out I have a TA-082 mobo, and I found the relevant guides to downgrade it to 1.50 and then upgrade it to 3.40 OE-A or 3.0? OE-C. Basically, I used the search function and helped myself to a bounty of (sometimes confusing) information. =)
I just have one concern for which I can't find an answer...these 3.XX OE-X custom firmwares let you play real PSP games...right? I really want to play some emulated games, but I want to make sure it will still be a real PSP after I'm done messing with it.
Edit to prevent double post: Thanks, Yabo. Glad to be here.

Welcome to the forums bro. Glad someone utilizes that search button, cause god knows half the noobs don't...good luck on your modding man, let us know how it goes. If you run into any problems you can't figure out on the site, don't hesitate to ask...
