data transfer goes by a usb cable thats used for mp3, cellphones, game devices.

Your going to want to have your PSP hacked if your going to want to have any backed up games work on it.
Data transfer works like any other transfering. all you get when you attach the usb cable to the psp port is a direct connection to the memory stick you have in your psp. Once you have unlocked its possiblities through a down grade hack you will be able to access far more with the usb than before.
