Hey guys, I usually spend time modding my motorolas, I'm new to the PSP. I have 2.0 firmware, 2gb mem stick, Greatest Hits GTA-LCS UMD. Just got it today and its fully charged. Can anyone point me in the right direction to the the proper downgrade for procedures for the 2.0 firmware as well as what is the best firmware for homebrew? I will be swimming through the many topics and postings in the forums, but I figured asking would be more direct. Thank you in advance. Modding is so cool.

Welcome to the forum. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I think you need an original version of GTA: LCS. I don't think the greatest hits will work. As far as firmware I have been using 3.40oe-a without any issues for quite awhile.

thanks darth! I was actually just coming back to modify my thread because I just downgraded successfully to 1.50...the funny thing was the I bought gta because i wanted it, I didn't even know that it was needed when doing certain downgrades. thanks for the tip on the custom firmware though!! and thanks for your reply!

just wanted to say thanks one more time darth, i attempted the 4.40 oe-a, but I wasn't really sure on how to install it, but the 3.52 m33 easy installer seemed to be dummy proof...soooo I went that route and it worked flawlessly. I would have been done a lot soner, but I had to do some research thanks again

Actually you meant 3.40 oe-a man.

and there are easy installers for both that and 3.52 m33, so you could just pick one.

you're right andre, i did mean 3.40 oe-a...typo sorry about that, I couldn't find the easy installer for that....i'm sure it was right under my nose...
