In response to the above, if you have 2.01 you can not do the downgrader. You are just as stuck as people with the 2.5

But welcome AllMyFriendsrDed and BX-PSP. BX, my favorite game of the moment is Burnout Legends, its such a great game. Remember to read the sticky's and use the search button. Good luck guys!

I thought that was tried and failed since the music VShell just looks for valid music files and would skip over the file with the .tiff extension. There was a thread talking about this before and I beleived the consesus (along with someone upgrading to actually try this and failing) was that this did not work... has anyone actually done this and can verify that?

EDIT: here's the original thread... http://www.pspmod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2101 (Paint?) Man that search button works wonders... remember kids, the search button is your friend

1. Homebrew are applications that run on the psp but are not created by sony. So any application (games and other things) that run from the memory card and were not "approved" by sony qualify as homebrew.

2. For the most part, no. But there are some games that this does work for. A sports game for sure but forgot which one.

3. You can tell by a letter on the back of the box. I have forgotten exactly how, but there is a way to tell.

Sorry I could only sorta answer some of those questions, but i am sure someone else will be better able to help you.
