New to the PSP thing.
Hi, everyone! First of all, I'm just popping by to get some tips and help. I've searched everywhere and it seems to me that this forum has the most user friendly people out there.
First of all, is there a way to downgrade from 3.60 yet?
Secondly, is there any sort of guides or FAQs that will give me a more in-depth description of all the lingo that's used in PSP modding?
I have no clue what the difference between hacking and modding is. What does homebrew mean? What's a "kernel"? How do you play downloaded PSP games (sorry if discussing such things is against your forum's TOS)? How do you use an emulator, such as Nintendo or Playstation? How do you use roms?
The list could go on and on. I have no idea where to start or what to do. Basically, I got a PSP because of what I heard you can do with it and the idea of playing Resident Evil or Final Fantasy VII on a portable device excites me in ways that is normally towards a beautiful woman.
To answer any questions, I have the PSP Slim and I'm currently running on version 3.60.
I'm sorry that my first post on this forum seems like a rant but I'm at my wit's end. It kills me that I'm not getting the full potential out of my PSP so I'd like to learn as fast as possible.
