i have a question that i need answered, i can play videos no matter what version right? i am almost positive the answer is yes, i just need someone to say it. with 2.6 i can watch any videos i convert to the proper format? just double checking. i already know what to do with the MS and where to put them and all that. its just, WILL THEY PLAY? ty and cya around.

of course you can play videos with any version........that's one of the reasons the psp was made.......Welcome to the forums btw

Welcome. Hope you find all your answers reading around here. You can play movies that are properly converted on any firmware version. If you get a 2.0 or lower, I suggest sticking with it since the newer firmwares will not let you downgrade or play homebrew (and they only offer things like Locations Free support (another $350 product) and rss feed support).
