buy a PSP or not bother?!

hey guys, i've been rather confused lately as all my friend have there iPods and other MP3 players and stuff, and i too want an MP3 but then i heard that the PSP is able to play music.


i thought, well for the giga pack here in the UK thats £269.99 which is less than an iPod video at £299.99


of course the PSP is not ment to just be a MP3 player as its a hand held gaming console thingy - i was just wondering what else can be done with the PSP. like i said, i don't know much about the PSP and if you guys and girls have anything interesting that might sway me to get a PSP then please let me know

Basically its a portable PS2...it literally is. Can view videos at really high resolution,play music,view photos, and play games..It can be modded very easily If you ahve the right firmware..what II suggest you do is take a search around google and have A read of waht the PSP can do..AND take A look at the specs...you'll be surprised;Pwelcome!

Get a psp lol it shyts on an Ipod lol it really does PSP out does any mp3 player if you know how to use it that is

I would go with psp, I originally had an iPod and the battery was defective so I brought it to Best Buy and they gave me the option to exchange it for a new one or get store credit. I took the store credit and the guy told me about psp and all of its features, I took psp. I am glad I took psp because I am able to do every thing an iPod can plus more.

ah rad - i did what jrmd said and i've read up on specs and if i get the 1Gb memory stick that'd hold more than enough MP3s


whats this bout the firmware i keep hearing bout? something bout movies ?

ANY firmware can hold movies...its something engraved in the psp...movies,songs, photos, and games will ALWAYS be engraved in the PSP(meaning what ever firmware they come out with, you will always be able to use these features)
