December 25, 2005: PSP Obtained

Hey hey. Just got my PSP for Christmas and ready to start exploring its capabilities. Currently at version 1.52, however it requires and upgrade to play X-Men Legends 2.

Anyway. The thread was here, so I used it. Nice to meet you all.

Quick question:

I followed some links from this site, and others, directing me to a 2.0 download, but it says its the Japanese version. I found something that said JP version of the update will work with a US PSP, but then right below that it had a warning from Sony saying:

CAUTION: This update is only for customers who obtained PSP® (PlayStationÂÂÃ⠀šÃ‚®Portable) for Japan which model number is PSP-1000 or PSP-1000 K. Upon completion of preparing, we will announce update information for the other countries/areas customers via SCE Group Web Site or other channels . For theses customers who obtained PSP® in the other countries/areas, please DO NOT update PSP® through this web site.

Soooo.... how do I get 2.0 sucessfully?

Try going to www.psp-hacks.com and looking for the updates. They have a US version.
