Hi everyone, I am new here. There are lot of things that I don't know, so everyone please kindly teach me everything about PSP. First, I got the following question:

1. What is the benefit of downgrading firmware? And how to do it?
2. I've seen a thread about mod battery, what is it for?
3. Is it possible to rip game from UMD?
4. What video formats are supported by different firmware?

Please bare with these stupid questions, I don't know where to find all these threads so you may just kindly point me to the right place with a link. Thank you very much.

first of all, welcome to mod.

1. actually, some of games are can only played in a lower version and some are in the higher version. and other homebrew application can can be installed in lower version.

2. modding the battery is one of the ingredients in pandoras battery. magic memory stick + jigkick battery = pandoras battery. its use to hack your psp, to downgrade, upgrade and unbrick a bricked psp. and the easy way.
