That wouldnt be a good idea and its a waste of money. Its better if u take your chances making a pandora's battery. Mine started smoking and it still worked in the end. Just go to youtube and type in Pandora's Battery and if yours is a slim or not and hopfully you can find a good guide.

sorry to ask you guys this and i am sure alot of people have ask this as well
i just got a second hand psp and thankfully the dude upgraded it to 3.90 M33-2 ....now the question do i hav to use pandora then update it or i can update it to 4.01 M33-2

Definately! I even had the shakes when I first did mine, but it panned out good in the end! Especially if you use the track cut method, you can fill in the gap again afterwards with pencil and have a normal working battery again without any soldering.

As ive said before though, just make sure not to short it out or anything, mine mysteriously died after a few months because i didnt put a lil bit of plastic back in the battery. no damage to the psp though.

Have you tried asking mates in your local area if they know anyone with a custom psp? worth a shot if someones got the gear already and can do it for free. I used do it for mates of mates that popped into my bar for a while, got bought drinks too haha.

No pandora needed, just a case of running the update software on your psp. Once a psp is on cfw, you dont need a pandora again (unless it bricks of course).
