    Hi I just got a psp and watned to start modding. Its used and its a slim 2000 series with frimware 4.21. For some reason i can't find an access point, to update my psp. Anyone know what I can do to update my psp?

    download the update off the internet. i wont reccomend u to update ur official firmware if u want to go to custom firmware.

    Can I go striaght to 5.03? I think i found the update.......

    Yes you can go straight to 5.03 just don't go any higher as ther eis a chance that you will ruin your chances of hacking it..

    If it has 4.21, that means you actually have a PSP 3000.
    Update to 5.03 and use ChickHEN & CFWEnabler.

    omg i think i just bricked it...... I've went throgh the chicken R2 thing and made it to that. Installed M33, but when i go to rebot black screen. I'm screwed right? My mother board was a TA-090 thats hackable right?

    Ahhh man,i screwed up then CFWenabler? didnt have that now i'm done for.

    You're screwed if you bricked your psp 3000.

    Maybe you shouldn't be installing cfw without asking in the first place.

    You could always send it in to Sony and make up something, like "It turned off while I was updating it and now all I get is a black screen". It'll come back with the latest firmware but at least it will work normally (you won't be able to hack it).

    thats a good idea do you think they would charge me for a "update freeze" problem? Also where could i find sonys number?
