I've got a psp-1000 with that homemade pandora battery my buddy gave me. I wanna start modding it, but where do i go from here? what software/hardware/firmware? It would be awesome if someone could walk me through the steps and in what sequence it has to be done in. Thanks!

make a mms first. then after cfw is installed, you can start with what you want.

    On your PSP, go to:
Settings > System Settings > System Information.

Right next to where it say "System Software" what's the firmware?

If it's 5.03 or lower, you can use ChickHen to mod Your PSP. If it's Above 5.03, then you'll have to use a Pandora Battery + Magic Memory Stick to mod your PSP.

    Here's some Guide:
    How to use ChickHen.
How to Make Magic Memory Stick.

Right... where to start! if you have a pandora battery then you all set to go. the next step will make your magic mem stick for ya. you need to make sure you mem stick is 512mb up to 2gb (tested by me) you CANNOT use the original 36 mb thing! next hit this link up and download it. not many people know of it but i will say it is the best ive found yet!!!

h ttp://dl.qj.net/psp/homebrew-applications/rains-ultralite-mms-maker-for-500-m33-4-v12.html (im not allowed to post links yet so get rid of the space between the "h" and the "ttp")

after you have downloaded the file (zip folder) male sure you unzip it and then run "RainsUltraLiteMMS.exe" this will then bring up a small window with the program. plug in your psp via standard USB mode or plug it in via a card reader. it doesnt matter (i use the card reader) make sure you have backed up anything off the mem stick you wanna keep and then choose the drive letter in the program of the mem stick e.g: K: then you also want to tick "format memory stick". after this is all done click on "MAKE MMS". wait for it to finish and you will have your mms. just turn off your psp or unplug the mem stick (of you used a card reader put the mms in the psp now while it is off) then when the stick is in plug in you pandora battery. it will boot like a standard XMB but with a list of options and the rest of the process is rather self explanatory!

i have no idea if this has helped you but i hope it does to anyone else
