Hi guys, I'm Jim from the Philippines. I joined this site to actually learn more about PSP mod'ing. I'd really like to know how to fix PSP hardware, so I can avoid getting ripped off by shameless technicians.

If you've got tinkering manuals and tutorials, advice and dismantling/operating snapshots, I'd be very grateful if you share them with me.

Is it in some way similar to breaking apart the PSP 2k?

All I can manage to do is try to look impressive and make-it-seem-like-I'm-actually-doing-something while fiddling with my PSP.

I'd really love to take off the faceplate, dust off the LCD a bit, and get a new housing.

Yes, I'm that much of a noob. I don't even have the right screw set to deal with faceplate removal.

I actually tried to take it apart once, but them star screwdrivers aren't jack-of-all-trades, unfortunately.

Elements for tearing PSP apart.. Hehe.
I think I'll be having no luck with a precision set, availability here sucks.

It has come to my attention that you have to be careful with what you say here, lest you wish to be a target of ridicule.
