02-18-2010, 01:45 AM This psp won't read discs of any kind.
I have already replaced the UMD drive and still nothing, It will do 1 of 2 things,
1) spin up the disc, stop and tell me the disc is unreadable
2) spin up the disc, keep spinning non stop and won't give me any message but still not read. It will spin as long as I let it.
NOOB I AM when it comes to PSP's
I have no knowledge about modding them in ANY way

well, if you changed the drive, chances are the mobo might be busted too (it happens to be quite delicate to drops)
i really can't imagine how the file system gets screwed when it's not hacked, im sure it has it weaknesses, but they probably pawned it after dropping it lol. i bet it has a couple of dents somewhere
so what to do? change the mobo (expensive + dificult) or send it to sony (who will charge even more and update your firmware)
