i'm not new to modding or anything, but i've done enough to mess up a lot. I actually joined because i'm having some trouble with a psp 3002, and i think it's the flash memory, but yeah, so if someone could help that'd be awesome

It refuses to load anything. CSO, EBOOT, UMD, nothing. It loads the PSP splash screen, sits on it for about a minute, the WIFI light comes on for a second and it shuts down. thats about it.

remove the memory card from the psp first.

Then hold down start+select+square+triangle while booting up your psp to format flash1. and see if your psp boots up normally.

    IF NOT

which cfw do you have on your 3k?

if it is 6.20 PRO -B or 6.20 TN d/e with the permanent patch installed, hold down R trigger and boot up your psp and see if a RECOVERY MENU appears on the screen.

ooh...yeah, this all happened after it reset, and being a 3000 one you apparently can't permanently permanently install cfw on it, i tried to use the re-activator i had saved on there, it didn't work and now nothing does. Also, i tried that trick, but it didn't help, are there any different ones

Take out the memory stick and try to boot up the PSP without the memory stick in it

Does it shut down or does it just not load your UMD?

shuts down. the laser recently has been making a terrible noise, but it has worked before regardless. Basically i know it's not that cos it crashes when loading from mem cards too

Could be a hardware issue. Are you in the United States?
