Been awhile. In fact, I can say that its been roughly 12 months or so.

Been away, doing the same old, same old. Work is so over-rated!

But its good to be back.

Look forward to old & new friends...

So, I have been out of the scene for almost a year - must catch up with the news. Must go to the tutorial forum...

just got my hands on a OFW6.31 psp-go & i'm playing again on my phat.

    Welcome back to PSPMOD buddy.

You may want to look into my guide to update your psp phat/go to the latest cfw. All instructions are there.

    For your information,

The latest permanent cfw is 6.60 ME 1.6
The temporary cfw for unhackables are 6.60 PRO B-10 and 6.60 LME 1.6.

Even PRO cfw can be made permanent if you apply CIPL flasher.

and btw: don't bother searching for goku or asking for his guide. He has left this site and also pulled his guide from here

    thx all.

thx pirate for the updates. i will remove the goku's link below. i'll check out your guide over the weekend.

i fell back in love with my phat, as it is - but i will be updating the cfws on my various psp.

the last year or so, i struggled to have the energy to do anything after work. so, not only my psp but all my hobbies were neglected.

having a good read thru the forums, just to catch up with things. my renewed interest was sparked when i was in japan - and i almost bought the vita before it was released at home...

EDIT 1: Reading thru section 6 of the guide, getting familiar... far out, i missed a lot of developments. i feel more like a n00b again.

EDIT 2: Ok. Doing the PSP-Go first - it seems, installing 6.60LME1.6 is just the standard procedure of updating to OFW6.60, and then running the launcher from [ms0:/ > GAME folder]. Checking out the alternative tethered CFW. Plenty of questions.., so i am not rushing straight into it.

am getting around to updating my black phat from its 6.39 ME-6 to this 6.60 ME-1.6, following pirate's guide. 3 weeks after my initial post - being working weekends as well.

will edit this post, as i go...

    01. as i said above, it seems a standard way of updating the cfw on the phat. first update the ofw, creating a ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder, then executing the eboot updater from XMB > GAMES. then onto the second step of installing the latest CFW version. just gathering the downloads required...

    02. piss easy, updated to 6.60 ME 1.6 - i have assumed its the latest version. about 10 minutes to do this update process, no fuss. neuron and other devs makes their cfw easy to install - and pirate's guide is straight forward. going to muck around with this phat first, before attending to my other psps.

    03. to be edited - reinstalling homebrew apps and emus onto that 6.60 me-1.6. i am going to rely on quickjump...

    a. nesterj 1.12 rx (released 25/3/12)
    b. snes9x euphoria r5 beta (22/10/11)
    c. scummvm v1.3.1 (14/7/11)
    d. gpsp-j 110507 signed (11/5/11)
    e. what other emu should i consider?

thx, pirate - will update to 1.8 a bit later. (see below)

    04. a little lost as to what homebrew install - out of the loop a little while so some of the apps/plug-ins are not familiar...
