Back from the brink, and looking to get back into PSP

Thought I'd say hi, and thank you for creating a great site!

I used to be into the PSP scene back in the days of the 1.50 downgrade, but lost touch with my PSP and the news etc.

Just ordered me a Silver PSP3000, so I thought I'd register with what several people are describing as the elite PSP forum.

Just started looking at the PSP I ordered, arrived today. Was going to d/g but it looks like it already had 6.xx gen or something on there...

Whoever did it decided it disable a shit-load of features on the recovery menu, making the thing almost useless. Even I had the sense not to mess back when we first started using the menu.

So, any good PSP news com in our way? Lst news was about the Ryvita, I mean the PSVita (sounds so much like a snack its untrue)

your psp is on 6.xx gen? never heard of that cfw.

Now just install the 6.60 LME 1.6 cfw by neuron on your 3k. its the best cfw for unhackables, and its got a fully functional recovery menu. The cfw is not permanent though, as the 3k is unhackable unlike phats

to do that , just goto section 8 of my guide and you will find it there.

Jut looked and it is 6.20 PRO-B9

need to do some reading up on it, see if its any god, but every time i do a full power down etc, its still on there and can do all the stuff i used to, so need to have a read about the 3k series being 'unhackable'

Read about ChickHen etc, so I'll pop on over and have a read of your guide.

the cfw you have on the 3k currently has a permanent patch which works even for the unhackables.

The PRO cfw is quite stable and from experience the PRO recovery menu is good, but lacks options for softmodding(which is pointless for 3k).

If you want a permanent cfw for the 3k and you are happy with PRO, then stick to it.

You could also try 6.20 TN- E with the permanent patch, which is an alternate permanent cfw for unhackables.

6.20 pro has a patch to make it like perm cfw so i suggest just stayin on 6.20 and update to pro b10
