what are you PSP specs? (it says behind the battery cover).
and what do you want to achieve by hacking it (games/homebrew/experimenting)? just want to know which cfw is good for you.

what is your version? settings > system settings > system information.

It would be wise to upgrade to 6.60, but you can also stay on 6.2 if you'd like Installation - procfw - HowTo: Install PRO CFW on your PSP - X-Generation Aftermarket Firmware for Playstation Portable

then stay on 6.20 and install PRO B-10, there is barely no difference between 6.20 and 6.60 except for a lot of security patches, and a new app "qriocity" - music app, and some minor stability fixes. In my opinion, it's not worth upgrading.

Did the permanent patch run good? or are you just at temporary running the "fast recovery" file every time?

hi, get 2000 or 3000 series psp.
i started of with gods of war and finished of the two games.
there are lots of games according to your specific likes, eg action, racing.
