I used to be on this site a lot back when 5.50 gen was very popular. I recently picked up a psp 1000 firmware 6.60. I tried pandora battery and it doesn't seem to work. It doesn't fit snug in the psp so I'm assuming its physically broken. Looking online it appears you can hack psp 1000 6.60 without pandora battery. My sole objective is to be able to play nes/snes games without constantly having to flash every time I reboot. Anyone have experience with this ?

pandora battery should fit in a fat fine assuming you got the one for fat and not for slim.an easier way for multiple uses that you could use with your friends as well would be finding the codejunkies datel pandora convertor.i have one and it works great if you constantly want the option to basically have a system recovery disc.to do it without pandora though is simple you need to just find the 6.60 me 1.8 files put them in your psp in the appropriate files and run the update that shows on your main screen.assuming your already on 6.60 this should work flawless

I think the battery is physically damaged. The top point of the battery where the pins are looks shifted forward a little. I tried pushing it back so it looks like the normal battery and it didn't work. The pandora battery at one point did work, maybe 5-6 years ago.

So let me get this straight before I try it. If a PSP 1000 has OFW 6.60 and I download those files and follow the directions I'll have a modded psp 1000 that can play NES/SNES games without a pandora battery and when i reset the psp it won't revert back to 6.60 OFW ?

If this is the case would this method work on a psp 2000 and 3000?

Yes, if you run the cipl flasher you will not have to worry about using fast recovery after a full shutdown on a phat. This also applies to some 200x psp's, but not all of them. If you reboot psp 300x you will need to run fast recovery everytime you reboot.
