I found my old PSP 1000 which I barely used and it's in perfect condition. The problem is it's on OFW 2.00. When I tried to charge the battery, the battery box popped off my PSP and I can't get it back on when the battery is in the slot. I did some googling and found out that the PSP batteries are notorious for swelling which basically means the battery is no longer safe to use.

Even though it sucks, I wouldn't care much about the battery except that I can't update to OFW 6.60 or 6.61 to apply the CFW without having a battery. First party batteries are almost impossible to find and third party ones are pretty much junk. Any suggestions or ideas to save this PSP?
