Default Show off you Mac Mods here!

How dare you arrange to share software that does not comply to Apple's user agreement in my section. I'll have no tolerance for freebies and hacks around here.

your missing the straight face I just made.

my mac i use for photos/videos...mostly of my daughter, but also for friends/family gatherings (birthdays) and such. I'm the dedicated photographper or videographer.

20" imac, 2.66 dual core, 2GB ram, 500GB hd, 256 graphics card.
final cut studio 2, aperature.

it performs great for the things i do.

Default Show off you Mac Mods here!

I've got a G3 iMac so no real mods for me. But last night I read up on the whole visual modification thing and this is what came about:

I think it looks pretty cool, I'd like to hear any suggestions. Up in the top toolbar thing I've got a CPU monitor which works very well. Nice job guys on the hardware mods. And DarkED I'll have to ask for your help a little when I get my new comp. I figure I'll do a little partition for a modified XP. OH, and could somebody please try to help me getting my text back to a normal color? I really like this theme and if i could find out how to change the text to a more visible color (such as black) it'd be great, thanks!

What used to be my Blue and White G3 powermac, I could not look at the smurf color scheme anymore. The scratches on the front that showed up with the flash are not visually noticeable ; I did not know they were there until I uploaded the picture. The back handles are still needing to be painted. None the less, I think it looks a lot better. Now I just need to put it back together. This one is going to become a dedicated Ubuntu machine. I'm thinking kitchen computer.

My dog wandered into every picture I tried to take.

The clear Apple is going to get a red LED behind it.

I had to go back and read about the flash and those scratches because i thought it looked that bad really... but other than that it looks great and the red LED sounds like a good idea.

you could always just use a peice of blue celophane... that would probably work. but anyways i dont have a mac but i think some of your guys mods look pretty cool. but anyways i am using the new Safari which is pretty cool by the way.

Here is my modded desktop and themes. Icons and such.
Using virtue desktops for virtual desktops, works like a charm and I recommend everyone to get it, although they aren't in development anymore since it will be included with Leopard.
virtuedesktops.info for the prog. GET IT, DO IT.. hehe but seriously it's good, but use it as your own risk
