Besides urineanus' thread according to G4tv the iPhone has been hacked being able to run apps now!Not only that the current app that is being used is our very own Hello World software!I thought this was pretty cool imagine the possibilities now.HACK THE PLANET!

images are not the best but screw it. What you see is a completely remastered home screen, including an icon for the hidden field test app. The second picture is to show that you can ditch all the stock ring tones (although I kept a few) and replace them with any .mp3 you want.
Other possibilities are running the iphone in single user mode (command line, for the apple illiterate) although there is no way to input something with out the gui based keyboard as of now. I can access the complete file structure of the OS X install on my phone from the terminal on my mac. Third party apps will be popping up everywhere in the next couple of months. IT has a 620mhz processor so the applications have some potential. If you think the iphone is gay or a POS, then thats spectacular; I don't give a shit nor did I mind paying for it. I don't come into threads and tell you people how completely stupid your PSP discussions are. Some of them get really retarded. Regardless if you like the iphone or not it is going to be around for a while. | |
