Default So... Windows on my Intel Mac?

Quickly wondering, Can I used a "torrented" version of Windows XP and use it with bootcamp that comes with my mac? If I portion the Hard drive? and if so, can someone tell me how (Or PM if nessesary)

Im running leapord 10.5.6

I have a blackberry, and to install updates I need Windows

Oh, and everytime I restart my mac, because I tried once, it failed, it comes up saying no bootable device is found, please insert disc... I have to hold down the option button, and just selects Mac HD (Default and only one there)

Downloading Win XP from a torrent is illegal.
Buy the original (or use Win Vista)

If you have a problem with booting your Mac, try this:
  1. Open System Prefrences
  2. Click StartUp disk
  3. Select your Volume (probably Macintosh HD)

Why is that? He can run windows in either a virtual environment (VMWARE or PARALLELS), or use BOOTCAMP.
