I found this on Engadget. It has got to be one of the most awesome things I have seen in a while. Apple should seriously consider releasing an official version of this. Check it out for yourself: Modbook

Happy to see some new Mac Sections

EDIT: didn't see the Mac Mods section...admins feel free to move my thread.

the modbook is more an aftermarket mod, but it's for sale so you can put it here, it looks interesting, and with RAID on the internal drives, it can go to 500gb, which is a load for a laptop.

shame it's pointed at graphics professionals who would prefer to use a macbook pro.

yeah, that book's pretty hawt, but only tablet's I like are convertibles, straight tablets are annoying to use for anything other than drawing pictures and taking notes.

True dat. I would get a hybrid but they tend to be underpowered for price (talking PC here.) If I buy a laptop it's gonna need to have some gaming capability. Hybrids just don't have it yet, they are made for office and multimedia (which doesn't need a powerful GPU these days.)

I dont get why thats the case, i was goin to get a hybrid but the specs let me down. they should make a powerful hybrid to get teh best of teh two worlds, tablet for business and power for pleasure.
