Hey all, I've searched all over for an answer to this but haven't found any. Sorry if I missed it.
My problem seems so simple it's driving me crazy.
I just installed Dark_Alex's 3.40 successfully. I put an movie file (.mp4) in the video folder and when I go to access it I get Unsupported Data. I've renamed it a bunch of times with no luck.
Also, when I was running 1.5. I would put a M4V*****.MP4 file in the MP_ROOT folder/100MNV01 folder and get the same result.
All of this may lead you to believe that there's a problem with the .mp4 file. I don't think so because I got it from a friend who plays it on his PSP 1.5. and I've tried a few different files.
So it seems everything is in the right place, with right names and the right file type but we're at a no go.
Has anyone experienced this? Am I missing something? Or is there a fix? Suggestion would be really appreciated.
Thanx.
Thanks but I can't. I'm on a mac.
I'm pretty sure the .mp4 files are cool. AVC, screen rez, etc.
I originally had a PSP 2.7, downgraded to 1.5 and then to D_A 3.40 if that makes any difference.
Files eg MAQ10034 & MAQ10034.THM go in the 100ANV01 folder these are MP4 AVC format.
Files eg M4V10055 and M4V10055.THM go in the 100MNV01 folder these are MP4.
Dont forget to include the theme, this gives you a thumbnail of the video in the video menu.

I am having a smilar situtation, except that I cannot acces the file, and when I plug the PSP back into my MAC it disapears?
i moved this one to mac software so our resident mac expert can handle it. he'll know how to make this work for you
Thanks for moving the post Julie.
I haven't found an answer to my original problem but I have found an alternative solution.
