So, anyone know how well leopard acctually run below a 867 mhz G4?
I just don't wanna waste the time installing a copy the really annoying way through a USB drive if the comp can't handle it. Muchless free up that much space for a second partition just to find out my comp crashes trying to run it.

    thanks for any help

EDIT: BTW the reason im asking is...most people say a G3 with 600 Mhz, and 512 MB ram, can barley run Tiger...so that leopard would be impossable. Only thing is, i have a 600Mhz, 384 MB ram G3, that runs tiger just as well as my 3.2 Ghz 2 GB ram G5, untill i start running a mass amount of programs, then the dula core G5 doesn't miss a wink, and my G3 suffers, but still does better at pushing along than any windows computer i've ever had in the same situation. So even tho mac says a g3 can't run leopard...is this really true? Cause after reading the trouble people have with tiger on a G3, that i've never even seen with my G3, my not as good G3 compaired to theirs, im starting to wonder...

Take the drive out and put it in your G5 and install leopard on it, then put the drive back in the g3. The installer will never actually run on the G3, it will tell you that you cannot install on this mac. It will run like shit I imagine.

lol well since my tiger runs really well with 384 mb of ram, and everyone complains that tiger runs horrible with 512 mb of ram, i was hoping leopard might run well. I'd have to install it on my ipod atm anyway, and don't wanna mess with that. I can live with tiger on my G3, but one can always hope

Dude i put osx leopard on a psp and a ipod. it is slightly lagging but overall fine. if ur worried about processor speed just overclock, its the simplest easyist way and if ur worried about ram just install ramdisk and donate part of ur hd to ram

Ya so how did you get the darwin kernel running on the PSP and ipod for that manner. Your claims are garbage.

You cannot really over clock you g3 ibook, nor if it was possible would I recommend it since that notebook is already infamous for running hot and disconnecting leads on the GPU.
