How to get your DVDs converted to PSP Format

Ever wanted to convert your DVDs to MPEG-4 video? Well here's how.

download these programs:

- dvd decrypter - this rips the dvd files from the disc.

- psp video 9 - converts dvd files to MP4

- kate's video joiner - joins loose files together.

follow these steps:

1. put in DVD, and open DVD Decrypter. Select only the .VOB files, choose a destination folder, and rip.

2. once they have ripped, convert all the VTS_01_1.VOB - VTS_01_6.VOB, or all the files with _01 first. This is the way it worked for me, I was ripping National Treasure. You may have to play arounjd with the actual files.

3. check the starting/ending point of each file, and label them in correct order, ie, 1,2,3,4,5,6. Each section should be around 25-30 mins. Make sure they are in order.

4. Here, You can either put all the individual files onto your PSP, like this:

1- National Treasure.MP4
2- National Treasure.MP4
3- National Treasure.MP4

OR, you can open Kate's Video Joiner, add all the files in order, and convert to a .VOB file. THen, convert the .VOB file back to .MP4 with PSP Video 9. THis takes more time, but results in streamless file, not multiple cut-off ones.

5. place file, or files in your /VIDEO directory on your PSP Memory Stick, and enjoy watching! it should be great quality and fit to screen.

dvd decrypter is aging and doesnt support some newer sony dvds like Casino Royale.

or just download this app called magic dvd ripper and you can rip youre dvd straight to MP4 alot easier and better.
