yeah they said something to the effect of "its still alive"
i just hope they keep the shooting style for the sequel. like introduce it the same way, as another secret government tape

yeah, if hte movie was done in any other manner, it just woun'd have been the same. If the producers are smart, they will keep it the same way... That is, if they do make another one.
But yeah, crazy lookin monster eh?

Last Movie You Watched?
someone on wikipedia said it best
"The thrill here isn't in the critter but in how it's revealed. First we see what it's capable of. Then we catch a tail here, a limb there. The spider-crabs announce their presence with authority. Then, once the opening acts are done, and Manhattan is in a shambles, the big guy is ready for his close-up"

Yeah that about sums it up.
What I really liked, is we are still left with no idea what it is, where it came from, or what it wants (aside from destruction)

Last Movie You Watched?
theres alot of unanswered questions in the end. what happened to the other girl in the group? she boarded a different heli and wasnt seen again. what about the smaller things that came off the main creature... do they grow into larger creatures?
thats what i like about the movie though.. it didnt leave you with any closure and makes you think beyond the credits. that, in a sense, makes a good movie. some people will complain about the camera work, but most people dont get to see a style like that too often, so theyre unsure of how its suppose to look when done right. i only had 2 gripes. the first being the way they killed off that one girl when her stomach bust. it was kinda campy and boring. the second is the "super battery and tape" the camera had. it was shooting for something like 8 hours straight without a change over for the tape or battery.
but i adored the film, which is strange since ive seen the deterioration of NYC 3 times this week. first in a documentry called "life after people" again in "i am legend" and a 3rd time in Cloverfield. fun weekend

Yeah, when I went to see it in the theater when it came alot, most of hte people there were pretty pissed when it ended, but I was pleased to say the least. The camera work was a huge part of it... Made ya feel like you were right there the whole time.
THe only problem I had was from time to time I was gettin kinda dizzy and what not from the camera work, lol. So I had to turn away every so often.
HaHa, that does sound like a fun weekend.
Mine was Cloverfield, the new Rambo, Strange Wilderness, Diary of the Dead, the Hitcher, and 30 Days of Night
.... yeah.... I love watchin movies, lol

I'm glad you guys agree that Cloverfield wasn't a bad film. I went to the theatre with loads of mates and most of them absolutely hated the end, where the camera just falls on the floor and everything goes quiet and it says "End" or something.. Pretty cool
The scariest thing really for me which made the movie was how it was soo realistic with the party at the beginning and how these people had real lives with real intrigues and love lifes and friends and how it was all just taken away - its amazing but I walked out of that theatre awestruck, lol
