not to rag on "metal heads" but why is it that they always have to say "OH! THIS IS DEATH METAL! IT IS BLACK METAL!" or something along those lines.

not all metal heads are that vocal about classifications. it just pisses hardcore metalheads to hear their fave band classified as death metal when they are really black metal.

myself being a metalhead, i love pretty much all metal-Rammstein, Cradle of Filth, Slipknot, Metallica, Dragonforce

so its just people opinions really. and yes Dethklok are awesome!

I've been listening to cannibal corpse "stripped rapes and strangled"

one of many brutal bands i like

and info for carp if you named them all under metal you would be categorizing everyone as one thing just like if you where to say to name everything that has beats and singing involved to be named hip-hop

death metal is more brutal and deep vocals
black metal is more about about screams and other shit like i dunno mythical shit or whatever
and i would hate for every metal to be named metal along with those gay hardcore bands i hate how they try to scream and then they break down into little emo fags singing about getting their hearts broken and shit

and the bands may have a black metal tone of vocals but the playing can be different a good example of this would be doom metal they have black metal vocals sometimes but the playing is more slow and in black metal its more drum bashing and all that. same for death metal and brutal death metal they both have their own traits.

im really just a big fan of death metal, balck metal, doom ect

dude if u get offended by being "categorized" u aren't metal. and i hate those hardcore kids who try to be metal and then they break down into little emo kids complaining about being stereotyped and are completely on the offensive becuase some one said that their favorite band isnt deathmetal but really is nu metal and then get p-o'd and have a big argument on what defines one metal subclass from the other metal subclasses and how their metal band really doesn't fit into that subclass but are much more well suited for this subclass. and then say "dont categorize me"

How bout we all just sit back with a juice box and agree that metal is fuckin awesome. Yea, there are many different styles of metal, but thats one of the things that makes it great, all the diversity.
Myself lately, I'm hittin the Death Metal pretty hard. Could be due to the fact that I do vocals for a death metal band in my city though, lol.

that's what i was getting it. i could care less what classification of metal this metal band is. metal is metal is metal. and as far as juice boxes go i got a fermented apple juice a while ago, it wasnt a box it was a like 1/2 gallon bottle. i opened it and it went PHZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ like a soda bottle. smelt like alcohol too.
