dont buy a cheap instrument.
if ur a beggininer dont even think about getting a shitty isntrument.
if u want to learn to play u need an instrument that is playable.
walmart and other cheap brand instruments are not playable.
then u just wasted all your money.
building an instrument isnt just about cutting wood in a guitar shape.
its all about acoustics and stuff, even on electrics it makes a diference.
go aprentice a luthier if u want to build you own.

I've been playing the violin for about 9 years now, since I was 10. I don't think I'm very good, but of course everyone tells me otherwise.

My violin skills obv transferred to the mandolin, which I don't enjoy playing as much as the violin.

And I'm slowly trying to learn how to play the harmonica.
