Anyway to make Sub-folders?
I like my psp to look like an ipod, so is there anyway you can make like:
Korn (folder)
-Life is Peachy (folder)
-Follow the Leader (folder)
- ETC
I guess this would be making sub-folders in folders er sumin.
I'm sure if you can there might have to be a plugin I have to get er sumin. Thx.
This is hard to explain I apologize for the scetchyness. |

We Want KoRn! We Want KoRn!
um as for the sub-folders... you want it to look like a ipod?
well if they are mp3 and stick them all in your music or whatever then when you play them it shows the song and album... but if you want subfolders on your XMB then i have no idea

go to your music folder, right click and create a new folder rename it to the album name, place all the mp3s you want there you can even put a pic if you want itlll show, i think it has to be lower than 500 x 500 pixels

I understand how to do that, but It's not like the psp with put them in an order of artist, so i was wondering if you could put those albums folders in a folder that has the artists name on it..
When i do this doesnt recognize the sub-folder but, maybe there is a plugin, or maybe dark_alex has somethin like that in his firmware |

i dont think u can do 2 layers of folders within the music folder itself, but u can do sub folders inside music. i made 2 of them and dropped a pic in each and it appears. youll just need to organize your mp3s so they play in album order

Anyway to make Sub-folders?
i have the same problem, which is why i was in this forum in the first place.
i place the music in PSP>MUSIC>ARTIST NAME but inside ARTIST NAME i cant have sub-folders that say ALBUM NAME. that would be so much nicer to organize.
if anyone could find a way around it that would be great. my psp is my MP3 player. and having 18 bajillion folders for each album and artist is a pain. |

i would highly recommend that u use itunes or a other mp3 converter and change ur music files into aac (ipod) file cuz its takes up less space than a mp3 and uses the same quality as mp3 |

ipod wastes a ton of space. those songs are 4 or 5 megs a pop.
download a converter called Razorlame. it compresses MP3's down to like 2 megs. and you barely lose any sound quality. |

When u put ur songs into ACC format, u lose the ability to give them artist or cd names to show on ur PSP...which can really suck if u have OCD....
