Can the PSP watch XVID Movies?

I am totally new to this and wanting to know what movies i can watch on my psp? I know they have to be MPEG4 but is it capable of playing xvid or any other formats that you can just get straight from a site, and if not what formats can be converted so i can watch movies on my psp....can i convert a XVID movie i downloaded and watch it or a dvd movie???...any help would be appriciated!

like you said........they ALL have to be converted to .MP4 in order for them to play on the PSP......use www.pspvideo9.com to convert your videos to .MP4......this has been discussed enough so this is locked........
