How can i play my ripped UMD video?

I just ripped my FF7 advent children (PSP video) off of my UMD disk. and it's in the ISO format. Can someone tell me how to play this on my PSP???

What firmware is your PsP running? If its video it should be in MP4 format?

i'm running 3.52 M33-4 but the video is not in mp4 format, it's in iso... anyway for me to convert it to mp4? i know that pspvideo9 convert pc format to PSP but i dont know how do convert UMD to mp4...

I think that you have to make a VIDEO folder in the ISO folder and place it in there i could be wrong but i think i read that somwhere

Have you tried running it?

If you need to convert it this claims to convert any format to MP4, could give it a try

open up the iso via winrar or something and see what files come out of it.

Random thought, put the iso in the ISO folder like it was a game. The No-UMD driver is basically Daemon tools for the psp, so why couldnt it mount a video too? Try that for me because im too lazy.

well there is a setting in the XMB recovery menu on 3.52 M33-4 that has somthing to do with it.. i think you placeit in the X:/ISO/VIDEO folder and press home in the XMB and go to the bottom option and press right or left and there will be your video

Thats correct dejaynizmo, ripped movie umds (iso videos) go in the ISO folder where there should be a VIDEO folder, place the iso movie in there and name it.

Then to play it pess home, then look at ISO VIDEO MOUNT, use the left and right arrows pad to select it, then exit that menu.Go to the video menu and press play.

3.53M33 has a built in umd video ripper, press home button, select USB device and select UMD Disc, then exit. Then connect the psp to your computer via usb, enable the usb and just drag the umd, which will appear as NP9660 to your desktop, this will rip the movie as an ISO image. Dont forget to rename it so you know what the film is.

Hi, i also tryed to play a umd rip.. and i cant get it to work.. and i didnt understand what do you mean press home button it dosent do anything.. it just deactivets the usb connection and there is no "usb devise" in the psp menu.. plz help..
p.s. i have a "3.52 m33" firmware

amm.. i will be glad to.. but im kind of afraid to mess with my psp i had my psp upgraded to this "open firmware" in a store.. (from 3.11) is it complicated to update to "3.52M33-4" ? and how do i do that?

no its not at all
download Custom Firmware 3.52 M33-4 Update.rar that...

place the the PSP and the SEplugins folders in the root of your memstick

then go to your psps and go to applications and runn the thing that shows up at the top of the list.. it will have a calendar
once you run it press X when it tells you to.. and bam your done

P.S. if that dosnt work place the file that is in the Game150 folder into the GAME folder depending on the kernal you are using but try GAME150 first

Man first of all thanks for the realy quick answers (i fill like it a chat and not a forum lol) and do i need to format my memory stick befor or after the update because when i got my psp updated in the store he said that he had to format the memoty stick for the procces..

yes format it after your update as it will add the Video folder in the ISO folder

Or you could just add the folder manually, that way you dont have to move all your data back in.
