Complete DVD to PSP software Q's

Hello,

Im a newb. Lets get that out there. I just got the new "Daxter" combo pack PSP. I really don't know the version or anything, but assume its the most updated one out there. I have spent this whole morning searching websites, doing google searches, and even spent way to much time in another PSP forum that seemed to only cater to those living outside the USA. I have a few questions and based on everything I have read, I am asking you guys. Why...... because this forum seems to be the best I've found. So thats where I am at. This is what I want:

A complete software app that I can download, then put my existing DVD's into my laptop, press a few buttons, and have the movie on my PSP. Thats it. No looking for certain free applications. No downloading 2+ programs to make it work. No crazy renaming of files or anything even remotely more complicated than uploading / downloading music files from ITunes or Rhapsody.

I have seen many of these programs online, but need the experts opinon on what program is best. The Avex program looks promising, but just when I read a review that says its good, I find another that says it sucks. I don't have a BA in Information Technology, nor do I plan to get one, so I don't need the "Dude, just do this and that and this......"

If anyone can help with this, maybe this thread should be stickied at the top of the forum so the million other people like me out there can use their PSP to their liking. Thanks so much for any help you guys can give. Happy Holidays!!!!!

DVD to PSP Video/Movies Converter Software

I use PSP Movie Creator it works quite well. If you have problems with it, the manual links you to free plug-ins which will make it work. The copying process is very fast and you can chose the quality of both video and audio. This allows you to decide how much memory you are willing to use. It also converts various other video formats to the PSP also. It auto-names your copied DVDs. When you connect the PSP to your computer by USB, it puts the converted movies in the correct PSP folder also.

I think this program is very easy to use and I like it's features. As far as your not wanting to look for other free applications... remember that this program's manual links you directly to the downloads. I am not saying that you will even have to use them, but for some DVDs you might.

Lastly, at $34.95, it isn't cheap. I've had it since it was released and at the time, I don't think there were many other programs to choose from. You might find something for less to your liking. I don't think there are any free programs that can do this.

i use winMenc, its free and it works really well, not much of a guide for it, but its pretty easy to learn and use
