He never said they were the best, hes just giving a recommendation.
Maybe he's never heard of JVC marshmallows, I haven't.
And almost definitely, skullcandy has the best styles.

skullcandy blows. they are made for snowboarders, skateboarders, etc which is one of the reasons why i bought them. ok so i jump on my board and a second later they keep falling off, becuase they put some heavy volume adjuster right in the middle so any weight on it makes the earbuds rip out of your ears..sound pretty bad, the bass is to high and got 0 treble, and yes i did adjust my EQ.
bose has the best sound quality in everything imaginable, but the prices are way to high. like an apple computer, the best in the business but also the most expensive.

Both SkullCandy & Sony Ericcson Walkman (Ear Cup) Are Great. If only the PSP wasnt so Chunky and Heavy (Slim is still Quite Large in Surface Area)... It would then be Great, But My SE K800i Is good enough for me

I have a seller in Hong Kong that will sell you 8GIG for $57 shipped to USA. I bought a 4 GIG from him for $22 and it worked great. I'm going to get an 8 GIG next week. I will let you know how it is.

PSP as an mp3/music player
PSP player MT, simple text, plays any music, plays mp4 videos, get yourself a speaker with mini input jack, any speaker should do, and now you can watch a film loudly in a feild if you so please, or hear your tunes properly, or headphones... Triangle is make video bigger, have fun

The idea of a pair of headphones distorting time (tempo) seems kind of odd. The PSP is the player and outputs a signal for sound, whether headphones are present or not. The fact that you plug in headphones makes no change to the way the music is actually played. The quality of the headphones change how the sound is reproduced, but can't actually change the speed. Sennheiser makes awesome headphones. For headphones, I'd only recommend Sennheiser, and Shure for earbuds.
Just seems like many people are making recommendations on earphones, when they know absolutely nothing about sound quality, based on the people suggesting SkullCandy. Some of them look alright, and many of their models have built in support for 2.5mm (cell phones) and 3.5mm (mp3/cd players) which is a nice feature, but sound quality wise they're kind of jacked.

Jesus christ, thank you, for
1) knowing what you're talking about even though I would also recommend Sony's various lines and
2) speaking coherently even though you like ICP.

PSP as an mp3/music player
I only read part of the thread, but all I can say is everyone has their own thoughts as far as what headphones to use, and what sounds good to them. To some people a 100$ pair of headphones will sound the best, to other (like me) my 12$ ear buds sound perfect. Simple as that.

Skullcandys don't suck you just buy shitty skull candies. You can buy noise canceling skull candy's also. Bose is a way better company tho i agree it's just skullcandy does make good headphones you just gotta buy them. I got some rasta skullcandys and i also have a pair of skull crushers at home and they work great. I used to use my psp as a mp3 player but i found that any headphone i put into a psp goes really quiet. I just got an ipod the other day and my skull candys are like 10x louder than what they were in the psp and the ipod isnt even on maxium volume

lol Thanks man. It just bugs me when people chime in, either having absolutely no idea what they're actually talking about or no basis for comparison.
As for the "even though you like ICP." All I've got to say is "touche." It's not so much that I'm into ICP (haven't even really listened to 'em in a few years, other than the occasional song here and there), I've just been using Mi|enko and ICPGr8Milenko for my screen names since about '97. Just don't have the heart to admit that I'm getting old. lol

And that just clenched it. You want a flat, low range set of headphones? Bose are the way to go. And I reiterate, there's absolutely no such thing as non-shitty skullcandies. Plain and simple. Spend 400 bucks on a pair of Sennheisers, JBL's, Sony (certain headsets rock, some suck), Denon, etc. I could keep going. Personally, I run a pair of Sennheiser HD650's for my PC/Gaming setup. Best damn headphones I've ever owned. Prior to that were the Sony MDR-NC50s. For earbuds, well, you'll find nothing better than the SE530's. Using the 310's for my PSP/Ipod.

My friend, who is a Event Coordinator and Sound man, he uses his PSP to play music when idle like during wedding cocktail sessions and stuff. But that's just because he listens to the songs too when he's not at work and brings his PSP everywhere he goes. He deduced that bringing a 8GB card with thousands of songs beats brining a CD Case full of CD around.

Oh yeah, I could never lug around of portalbe cd player and a load of cd's again... Its just way to much to have with ya.
I used my PSP and a 4g card as my mp3 player for the longest time.
I recently switched back over to my Zen for music though. Using my PSP as a Movie/Game system again, lol.
Regardless though, the PSP is always with me as a moblie entertainment unit, lol
