Ok, im assuming you are using the MP3 format, so if you really don't have a good ear for music, you can always change the quality of the music.

http://www.blazemp.com/compress_mp3_files.htm

its a good program. you can convert mp3's to mp3s of lower quality, and mp3's to wavs.
Just change the quality before converting or compressing...if you want pretty good quality and pretty good compression...try 128 kbps...if you want more compression and dont care for quality at all, make the track MONO and about 48 or 64 kbps.

Another way to get a lower bit-rate (kilo bits per second) and/or with variable bit rate (VBR) enabled. Most audio ripping software offers this facility. Apple's iTunes, for example, offers three standard settings: Good Quality at 128kbps, Better Quality at 160kbps, and High Quality at 192kbps, or a Custom setting from 8kbps to 320kbps.

Another program that offers the ability to save a MP3 at a lower bitrate.

Just a FYI compression of 128kbs is about cd quality. Settings less than this, you will start to lose sound quality. Just experiment and find out what is acceptable to you. Do not even think about going below 64kbs as I think the quality will be rather poor

WMA gives better quality than MP3 for lower bitrates. If you are using bitrates less than 128 Kbit/s then WMA has better sound. No doubt about that.
Unfortunately there are no higher bitrates for WMA, it goes only up to 160 Kbit/s and be aware of 160 Kbit/s WMA's

160 Kbit/s MP3 does also sound better than 160 Kbit/s WMA from what I have heard (It is really hard to tell the difference at such high bitrates so I won't judge myself. At lower bitrates I can even hear myself that WMA sounds better).

MP3 is of course still more compatible and known than WMA. Who knows for how long?

NOTE : If you want to use WMA, then your Firmware must be 2.6 or higher, so now ask yourself, do you want to upgrade, just to use WMA

Tzone, one problem with your post above, WMA only works on 2.6 and above. Not to be mean or anything, just don't want to confuse people

Ooops my bad. I put 2.5, you are correct my friend, that should have read 2.6
and don't worry, I wouldn't take something like that the wrong way there is nothing wrong with being corrected...
