Ok this started around 1:00pm EST, Monday 5th
My Computer/ Dell XPS 400 got it for christmas in 2005
Ok, i was on my pc, getting alittle bored so i thought ill play some CounterStrike: Source, i loaded the game, game menu was there. Im still in the game menu, i start see little blue dots , large amount in lines going down the screen. After a good minute the screen goes black, but the monitor was not off.I shut down the computer by holding the power button. Ok, first thing that came to my mind was the monitor just went... To find this out i hooked the monitor into my moms labtop, the thing worked fine..
Ok i hooked the monitor back into my computer. Press the power button, Windows XP loaded , when this was loading the dots were there, after it was done loading, this blue screen came up, with an error, never saw it in my life..
Ok my dad looked at it and didnt know wat it was, either no it almost looked like the errors on his computer, he went threw 3 mother boards and he was like on his 4 hard drive, he gave up.(off topic)
Ok my dad calls dell, we finally got some one on the phone after a half an hour. He was on the phone for a good 3 hours. The guy was controling my computer, using dell connect, the computer was in safe mode. He had all these tests on it. The were all passed, then they went some were in the computer to look for something. The found Video controller of something like that with a "! in a yellow triangle"(u all saw this before, the ! in yellow triangle) . The guy had to leave yesterday, he stayed an extra hour at work to help us, hes going to call back today around 3:30pm EST
anyone ever have this problem?
I have to use this labtop until its fixed.
I think its the video card.
