Ive been thinking... and is there an option that the admin can turn on, that you can make it so someone with 10 posts or less CAN NOT open a new thread? I've been to other forums that have this option available, and I'm curious to see if this could be "turned on"... I see why maybe it cant be... because it "renders the introduce yourself" thread useless... but only for 10 posts... then they can start asking...

justin its a good idea, but it probably wouldn't make a diff...
peaple with 50 posts under their name can still make useless threads.

its a bad idea. they would just spam other threads till they gain 10 posts, then ask ther question and leave. or even ask questions in unrelated threads... ive seen lots of noobs post questions in months old intro threads

just a thought... i guess it makes sence in a way that i wouldnt work... but it would work in a thread not devoted specifically to help with things (electronics, etc)

...Whats the point of a forum, if unless you have 10 posts,
you can't make a thread... Is that a joke?
So you wanting people to be in the "introduce yourself" thread,
until you get to 10? Before you can ask about PSP's?!
    Is this what your saying?
If I'm wrong correct me... BUT.
You were NEW ONCE TOO. I think you started at ONE.
Yeah you did. Forums are made to help people.
    And for people to learn.
And everyone was new once also.
    aka, NOOB.

    So, in all honesty.
I think you shouldn't make useless threads yourself.
This was nonsense. Even JULIE agreed.
    And shes a super MOD...
I'm not trying to pick a fight,
But I think you are trying to push yourself
with anything you can to make yourself seem so GOOD
    enough to become a MOD.
    Your talking nonsense everywhere.
    Your trying to be Julie...
And I don't know if anyone else agrees with me.
    But it's the truth.
    And the truth HURTS.

i'm not really one to point these things out... but look who is.. LMAO!
but i wouldn't really call this thread nonsense, because it is something to think about.

see everyone is taking what i said incorrectly, i mean it would be to lower the new threads asking all these questions that have been asked before, because it forces them to search, in a way, rather then to take the lazy way out, but then again i see what julie is saying about "were here to help" and i guess i can see where if we reply to their one time post thread they may come back and continue to ask and then eventually help back (like what has happened to people who keep coming back here)

and to brit - i am not trying to be anyone at all, i asked a simple question, no need to rush to conclusions, ive seen this done on other forums and it works great, no spam, its a very in order forum with maybe 3 mods and over 150,000 members, i just thought it was some sort of question that could be asked so dont say to me "oh your trying to make yourself seem so good like a mod blah blah" because i was asking a simple question,

if anyone wants to disagree here with this question, be my guest, but it was just a site input and you never know if it could work or not, but then again as i said earlier, it probably depends on what sort of forum site it is

Apparently then, whatever you were trying to state...
nobody understood if you think your right,
because... nobody yet has agreed with you.
Even though Ive never seen that done on forums.
Power to you for noticing something and bringing it to the table.
But I don't think it will happen here.

And if you arn't trying to "seem so good like a mod blah blah", great.
I'm glad your not making up rubbish.

*Sorry if I seem a bit on the bite you in the ass side.
I just saw no logic in this post.
Not necessarily with you, but with the idea you suggested.*
