Well now!! I get a call from Toyota Financial earlier this morning between calls at work. The rep tells me I owe them some amount of money ( I don't remember the amount because I really wasn't paying much attention ) and if I would be able to make payment today. I politely tell the rep that I would have to call him back in an hour when I go to lunch because call volume is high at the moment. He then tells me I can't call back because the issue has to be settled now or he will motion to repossess my car. So, instantly I get a bit hostile on the line. I ask why it is that he can't relax for a f'ing hour till I call back on my lunch hour. Dude gives me the same line. So, I say " you know what, come get the f'ing car. ya'll know where the f it is, i don't give a f. Oh Mr. Jones, there is no need for that language, i'm just trying to resolve... the call is being recorded, blah blah blah . So I say , Is it now, then I hope you get this s#$!@ on tape. When I took the car to the dealership at the end of my lease and told them the engine had a knock and I suspected it was a wrecked bearing or a rod was broken and to please just tell me if that is the problem and don't run the engine to hard or it will make the problem worse, what does the mechanic do? Calls me a day later and tells me, " Oh, I started up your car and there was a loud boom, and when I checked, a rod blew out of the block. " REALLY!!! Now isn't that just f'ing wonderful. So, now my car doesn't run because I know the mechanics dumb a$$ was revving it like he was in a race, and to top it off, the dealership will not let me buy the vehicle out unless it is running. I state that when I brought the car in, the engine ran albeit had a hell of a knock. Now it won't even start. Of course I expect for them to repair my damn engine for free. Nope, not at all, they want me to drop 2700 on a new engine. AHAHAHAHAH!!!! So, end result, I refinance, tow the car to my house, it sits there for months, and I don't pay Toyota a single cent more. Come get the car. " So the Rep says, " Well Mr. Jones, I'm sorry you had that experience with the dealership but it still doesn't solve this matter." I reply, " Of course it doesn't, nothing ever solves any issue with you a$$holes, writing letters to corporate, having to drive to the dealership eight million times, calling this person, that person and the next. I give up, come get the car, it's on the street and the doors are unlocked." Keeping this thing as short as possible - at some point today, my lil' '01 Corolla will be toted off to wherever , and my credit will take a 7 year hit. A part of me feels a sense of relief due to the fact that I don't ever have to deal with THE BEAST ( Toyota ) ever again, yet i'm pissed because my credit it tarnished. Oh well. Just needed to vent.

    what...
    that sucks
    really
    you got kind of scammed
people wanna charge you for everything.
last vacations, I went to miami... there is my uncle
he told me to never trust insurances/banks/loan things
because they are after your money
we were relaxed in the beach
    A SUNDAY
then he gets a call from this guy saying something like "your payment period has expired... you havent paid the car insurance... and you dont appear registered... bla bla bla... we'll have to arrange payments... tomorrow bring the car here... blablabla... you know its not legal to drive without the proper papers for the car... and you owe us the last 2 weeks payments..."

    yeah that sucks
    that is how life is
    people want your money

Exactly, and that is why I told him to go ahead and repo the car. I'm not paying money for a car that their dealership f'd up. Funny thing is, the car is still sitting on the street. I could just have it... never mind.

huh -_-" toyota = expensive engines,

you should of checked the engine yourself, the only way a rod would blow out of the block is if you push the motor pretty hard

right, and i figured that it was either a bad bearing or a rod broke. that's why i told the mechanic to be careful with the engine and to just diagnose the problem. i dont have time to pull down an engine, especially in the winter. he just pushed the car so i would have to buy a new engine and pay the labor. i've never had good experiences with Toyota.
