yo, so i've decided to get a handheld system. I thought I was settled with buying a PSP, but i'm not too sure now. What are some pros and cons of both the DS and PSP. And I realize this is a PSP forum, but be as honest as possible, and dont just tell me to get a PSP right away. List reasons why you like the psp/ds.

PSP because you can do way more on it
play old systems like SNES, NES, Sega, GB, GBA etc.
    pictures
    music
    movies
web browser(not the best but it works)
    tons of homebrew
play games even when you don't want to carry the actual game around(put them on your Memory stick)
let other people name more stuff

    What is homebrew?
Does the browser work in like, your car and places like that? Or do I need to be in my house for it to work.

    Its a really tough decision...
PSP has all the internet music movies etc. and games like GTA, SOCOM
DS has no internet music movies but has Mario Kart and Metroid

    ughh

Ds has online play but no browser...

go to dl.qj.net and look at all the homebrew under psp section that should give you a feel for it

Ahh this is so annoying. At first, I had decided on a PSP. Then about an hour ago I started leaning towards a DS... and now i'm back to PSP.

I think what got me to DS was Mario Kart WiFi, but if its kinda tough to get a connection, it would seem pointless to get a system just because of WiFi for one game. What are some great PSP games?

first off, there is already a thread about this, it even has the same exact title.

both the PSP and the DS can emulate older systems

the homebrew scene for PSP is bigger

internet on the PSP is lame

the screen on a PSP is way better

as far as music and movies, they can both do that. DS just requires modifications to do so. It is cheaper to go for the PSP because the DS will require a d6 flash kit to get the most out of it and thats another $100 on top of the retail price. PSP requires a good size MS DUO to get the most out of homebrew/back-ups. So you make the call.
